Pressure
Some interesting media this week[1][2].
Someone recently called IE6 “The new Netscape 4″ referring to the fact that IE now holds the unenviable reputation of having the worst CSS support of all the current version mainstream browsers.
To add to the frustration of web developers who care about such things, Microsoft have declared that no new version of their browser will see the light of day until 2005 when the browser will be baked in to the next Microsoft operating system.
While other browsers have started to implement some tidbits of CSS3, Internet Explorer rots, and rots everything around it. Sometime ago Tim Bray wondered aloud if we shouldn’t just move forward without the handcuffs.
