The quick and the dead…
Booked. It’s going to be a big one. The cheapest, closest hotel (and best deal—good rooms and great free network) and the most expensive hotel are already booked out. Which tells you something, The Four Seasons is not usually booked out for the Interactive/Film week this early. Also, sadly, the magical San José Hotel was gone too, but I expected that. Lets hope they organize larger rooms for next year’s Panels.
I’m at the boring Omni again (central locale [Stumbling distance from Opening night party] and free network).
Update | Although now that I’ve consider it, I might change to the Hilton… For: I get a truck load of Frequent Flyer miles at the Hilton and none at the Omni; Last year the Omni tried to stick me in a room next to the Coke machine with a view of the cesspool and the 14 year old duty manager got snooty when I asked to change rooms after like a millisecond of entering it—I carry a grudge. Against: I hate large hotels like the Hilton; I just know the pay-for network will be screwy – at the Omni you just plug in and get an IP address.
